Where does the produce come from?

All our produce is locally sourced in Bendigo and the surrounding Central Victorian area.  We pride ourselves on providing high quality products and love being able to support other local businesses. We do note that all of our products are subject to change according to seasonality and availability. 

How do I order and pay?

 

All enquires are placed via the 'Book A Box' and 'Book a Table' pages. We will get back to you within 2 business days to confirm your order and provide an invoice for payment. Please note a platter box or grazing table is only secured once an invoice has been issued and payment/deposit is received. 

 

We require 3 business days notice to order platter boxes and 14 business days notice for grazing tables. We strongly encourage you to get in touch early to discuss larger events as the more notice we have the better we can accommodate your plans.

Platter Bank accepts payment via Paypal, EFT, & Cash.

  • All platter boxes require full payment within two days of receiving the invoice.

  • All grazing tables require payment of a 50% deposit within five days of receiving the invoice and final payment is due two weeks before the event. Any grazing table orders made within two weeks of the event require full payment upfront.

ALL things grazing tables

What size? Our grazing tables are ordered by meterage and we provide a guide on how many people each table would feed. This is based on each guest getting a reasonable amount of food, but it is not designed to be a full main meal. We completely understand each event is different and we are happy to work with you to decide which size table would best suit your needs. 

 

Set Up: We set up all of our grazing tables on site - this is free within 10km of the Bendigo area. Delivery cost outside of this area is quoted based on distance once we have received your order. We arrive at your venue 1.5 - 2 hours before your guests are due to arrive to give us plenty of time to perfect your table. 

What do we provide?  Our experience and passion to create a grazing masterpiece! Oh and also all our grazing tables include the loan of props, boards, knives, styling, foliage, linen and bamboo napkins. Additionally, we can provide optional bamboo plates and cutlery at a cost of $1.50 per person.

Who provides the table? It is up to you! You can hire our trestle tables which work perfectly with our grazings, or if you have a table in mind we are happy to use that provided the dimensions work. We do ask that table/s are set up in a cool area in order to optimise your guests tasting experience and to adhere to food safety restrictions. Table hire is $15 per trestle. 

Pack Up: All of our equipment must be cleaned and returned to our business premises within five days. Or alternatively if a collection and/or a pack down service is required, after the event or the following day, this can be arranged for an extra fee of $80. Please note that there is a replacement fee for any lost or damaged pieces. 

ALL things platter boxes

Our platter boxes are super simple - pick your preferred option and fill out our enquiry form! These are great for smaller functions, corporate lunches and picnics. 

We offer delivery and pickup options for our boxes - pick up is from our business premises in Kennington, or delivery is $10 within the Bendigo area. The Bendigo area is classified as 10km from the Bendigo Hospital. 

 

The boxes contain perishable food which is temperature sensitive so please request an appropriate time for delivery that ensures the recipient will be available to receive the box, and/or keep it refrigerated.

Are you able to cater for dietary requirements?

 

Absolutely! We can cater for a range of dietary requirements, at an additional fee.

Can I get a refund if I cancel my order?

 

Please notify Platter Bank in writing of the cancellation, postponement or alteration of any event or order as soon as possible. This can be done via our email platterbankbendigo@gmail.com. 

Platter Boxes

 

  • If you cancel your platter box order with more than 7 days notice Platter Bank will refund your payment minus any deductions for administrative/ordering costs incurred;

  • If you cancel your platter box order within 7 days Platter Bank will not refund your deposit. 

Grazing Tables

  • If you cancel your event with more than 90 days notice Platter Bank will refund your full deposit minus any deductions to allow for administrative costs incurred;

  • If you cancel your event with less than 90 days notice Platter Bank will not refund the deposit due to high demand and the time frame in which we book out and to allow for administrative costs and ordering expenses;

  • If you are unable to go ahead with your event we strongly encourage you to transfer your deposit/payment to a mutually agreeable alternative date. We also note all orders paid for and cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions will receive a credit for future use. 

COVID safe events

It’s undoubtedly a tricky time to be organising a function, but planning a celebration managed by a business adhering to COVID safe practices means you don’t have to miss out on enjoying special moments with family and friends! Our priority is to ensure the safety of all employees, customers, and the wider community while providing our quality catering services. 

While we have always maintained excellent standards of hygiene and cleanliness, we have introduced a number of additional measures to reduce the risk of infection and keep our communities safe. These include:

  • Additional hygiene and sanitation measures in our kitchen, catering events & while making deliveries.

  • Increased food safety measures and sanitation of our kitchen before preparation begins.

  • Minimising person to person contact within our service environment.

  • Clear communication outlining the steps to take should an employee present as unwell, a mandatory 14-day self-isolation and quarantine will apply to all employees at Platter Bank that have come into direct contact with the COVID-19 or anyone displaying symptoms.
